Wiltshire Air Ambulance is delighted to announce that following board elections, Rob Kevan will become our charity’s new chairman in September.
Rob succeeds Chris Lear, who will be stepping down at the next Annual General Meeting after serving the maximum number of 12 years as a trustee.
Mike Fellows will become our vice-chair, succeeding Anna Cole, who remains on the Board of Trustees.
Meanwhile, both Philip Shepherd and James Phipps have decided to step down from the Board, while Olympic Medallist and WAA Ambassador Shelley Rudman has been appointed as a new trustee.
Shelley joins the charity’s other three new trustees – Nick Charlton, Graham Seaman and Kevin Basnett – who joined the board in December 2022.
Nick is the owner and director of Inspire Architects and was one of the architects behind the building of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance airbase in 2018.
Graham is a long-term friend of the charity from his 29 years with the BBC, including presenting roles on BBC Radio Wiltshire across breakfast, lunchtime and afternoon shows.
Kevin spent over 40 years with Goughs Solicitors in Devizes and served 10 years as their managing partner up to October 2021. He is a keen sportsman, listing tennis, rugby, hockey, cycling, skiing and running amongst his hobbies.
Shelley became an ambassador for the charity in 2016. She won a silver medal in women’s skeleton bobsleigh at the 2006 Winter Olympics and also secured World and European titles during her career.
The Annual General Meeting will be held at the airbase on Wednesday 20 September at 7pm.
