Local band supports Wiltshire Air Ambulance
Thursday, 25 May 2023
The song, titled Captain’s on Board, has been released across all platforms and streaming services, and utilises an image of Wiltshire Air Ambulance chief pilot Matt Wilcock.
The picture was captured by Sony ambassador and award-winning photographer Terry Donnelly, with Matt sat in the cockpit of the charity’s Bell 429 helicopter.
Vince Cater, bassist and joint lead vocalist of A Bottle of Dog, says: “We are pleased to release our latest single in collaboration with Wiltshire Air Ambulance using a photograph of their chief pilot Matt Wilcock, a true captain and leader.”
The three-piece band, based in Chippenham, Wiltshire, will also be playing at the Minety Music Festival on Saturday 1 July 2023, which also supports Wiltshire Air Ambulance. They class themselves as indie rock, infused with a bit of the 1970s.
Captain’s on Board will feature on A Bottle of Dog’s new album, which is due for release later this summer. All profits from the single will be going to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance provides helicopter emergency medical services across Wiltshire, Bath and surrounding areas.
It costs £4 million every year to keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives. The charity receives no regular direct Government funding or National Lottery grants, so relies on generous donations from the local public, community groups and businesses to reach its fundraising goal.
